Dublin City Dialogue
The Dublin City Dialogue is an event held on 24th September at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. It focuses on discussing the specific challenges and opportunities that Irish cities face regarding sustainable growth. The event aims to foster an exchange of ideas among participants, exploring what Irish cities can learn from one another as well as from international best practices to address issues related to urban development and sustainability.
15 George’s Quay
15 George's Quay is a redeveloped seven-storey office building in Dublin, featuring a new Schüco façade, LEED Platinum certification, and amenity-rich spaces like landscaped roof terraces. The project expanded the existing structure by 50%, added two new floors, and includes a ground-floor café and a spacious reception overlooking the river.

The Irish Life Block is a large campus of buildings on Lower Abbey Street in Dublin. Specifically, Block 3 is undergoing a major "cut and carve" redevelopment to become a fully refurbished, interlinked office space with a new central atrium and façade. The project, which retains much of the existing structure to reduce carbon emissions, includes a new 10-story atrium and a modern, perforated façade design that complements the original 1970s aesthetic.

Set in the heart of Dublin’s central Townsend Street, MCA have designed a modern 9 storey over double basement building. The ground floor street frontage is animated by a double height entrance foyer and features a large, glazed window behind which the social and collaborative functions are located offering interaction with the street. The top office floor is set back and includes an external terrace along the length of the building offering full views of the River Liffey.

25 North Wall Quay is a retrofitted, Net Zero Carbon office building, completed in 2025. The project features a focus on sustainability, including a significant reduction in embodied carbon by retaining 75% of the original structure, the use of low-carbon materials, all-electric systems powered by renewable energy, and has achieved certifications like LEED Platinum and Wired Score Platinum. It was transformed without demolition, increasing its size by 35% with two new floors, landscaped terraces, and an eight-storey atrium that provides panoramic views of the River Liffey.

Coopers Cross is a six-acre, mixed-use campus in Dublin's North Docks featuring commercial and residential buildings. Developed by Kennedy Wilson, it includes Grade-A office space, 471 apartments, and extensive public areas like a park and square. The complex is built to high environmental standards, with certifications like LEED Platinum, and offers smart building technology.

Castleforbes Premier Inn is part of an extensive urban regeneration project that transformed Dublin’s docklands into a vibrant part of the city. Spanning nine floors with a gross floor area of 9,644 sq m, this contemporary structure is Premier Inn’s largest hotel in Dublin. Schüco windows with high acoustic rated glass and façade configurations were specified and installed as well as assemblies on the project. Characterised by its bronze and brick façade, the hotel is one of the most eye-catching buildings in the docklands area.

The construction of the new Salesforce Tower in Dublin included one of the most extensive façade packages in Irish history. The mixed-use building, known as Spencer Place, includes a 200-bed hotel, restaurant, retail units and large office space. Completed in 2022, Spencer Place, with its striking glass façade, is now a landmark sight along the River Liffey.

Citibank is currently constructing its new European Headquarters at the Waterfront South Central site on Dublin's North Wall Quay, expected to be completed in 2026. The new building, which recently reached its topping-out milestone in March 2025, is a significant part of the wider Waterfront South Central scheme. The nine-storey, 300,000 sq ft (27,870 sq m) future home of Citibank in Ireland will have roof terraces overlooking the river Liffey and Dublin’s wider cityscape, an underground car park, retail, and gallery exhibition spaces. The project consists of 12,500 sq/m of high spec façade, comprising unitised curtain walling, with external solar shading fins and a specialist bolted glass veil on the south elevation.
