People + Architecture profile 14 schueco.com 71 Einige der wesentlichen Eigenschaften von Reinraumfassaden sind: — Reinraumfassaden sind als Aluminium- oder Edelstahl- Elementfassaden (Modulsystem) realisierbar. Sie werden vollständig im Werk in Serie hergestellt. — Sie sind großflächig verglast und besitzen einen minimalen Fugenanteil. Sie sind glatt, flächig, schmutzabweisend und leicht zu reinigen. — Die Profile sind hochwärmegedämmt und innen absolut kondensatfrei. — Die raumhohen Verglasungen mit integriertem Sonnenschutz-Lichtlenksystem gewährleisten eine besonders gute Raumtiefenausleuchtung. — Der Lifecycle des Gesamtfassadensystems beträgt bei fachmännischer Wartung mindestens 40 Jahre. Der gestalterische Anspruch Die wesentlichen architektonischen Elemente wie die Gebäudegeometrie und insbesondere die Fassadengestaltung wie die Rasterteilung, der prozentuale Anteil an geöffneten und geschlossenen Flächen oder die Wahl der Materialien sind zum Großteil ein Abbild der sehr hohen funktionalen Reinraum- und Prozessanforderungen. Das heißt: Nicht die Architektur, sondern der Prozess gibt diese weitgehend vor. Die Pharma-Produktions- gebäude, die wir gemeinsam mit Dieter Dresing von Koppen- höfer & Partner Architekten realisiert haben, spiegeln mit ihren Reinraumfassaden eine anspruchsvolle Glasarchitektur wider. Sie sind sozusagen im »Licht und Glanz« der realisierten inno- vativen Reinraumtechnologie entstanden. Auch im Industriebau lässt sich so gute und zeitlose Architektur konsequent umsetzen. The characteristics of clean room façades — Clean room façades can be designed as aluminium or stainless steel unitised façades (module system). They are completely manufactured in series in the factory. — They are extensively glazed and have a small proportion of joints. They are smooth, flat, dirt-repellent and easy to clean. — The profiles are highly thermally insulated and are completely free of condensation on the inside — The floor-to-ceiling glazing with an integrated solar shading and light control system ensures particularly deep interior illumination. — The lifecycle of the entire façade system is at least 40 years if maintained professionally. Creative requirements The major architectural elements such as the building geome- try and in particular the façade design such as the module divi- sions, the percentage of open and closed surfaces or the choice of materials are to a large extent a reflection of the very high func- tional requirements for the clean room and process. This means that, above all, they are not a requirement of the architecture, but of the process. The pharmaceutical production buildings which we created together with Dieter Dresing of the architectural firm Kop- penhöfer & Partner reflect, with their clean room façades, sophis- ticated glass architecture. They came into being in the "light and splendour" of the innovative clean room technology which has been implemented. Such high-quality and timeless architecture can therefore be implemented in industrial construction too.
