Home or art gallery? The Light Mix Gallery in Hangzhou is both at once. This villa was designed by its owner, Chen Yaoguang, a renowned interior architect in China who focuses on the link between works of art and architecture.

Chen Yaoguang invested almost twenty years into constructing the elaborate inner courtyard in the traditional Jiangnan style. His aim was to create living spaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and provide a place where he can express his emotions and artistic side.
The windows and doors of the Light Mix Gallery were made using innovative Schüco system solutions. The generous windows and sliding doors provide an immediate link to nature by blurring the boundary between the inside and outside space. From the first rays of the morning sun to the warm colours of the sunset, the residents feel connected to nature.
The Schüco systems also offer outstanding weathertightness and thermal performance, ensuring a constant temperature and humidity level inside the building. This creates the ideal environment in which to present the valuable art collection, without subjecting it to climatic factors.
