At its in-house Technology Center, Schüco subjects its products to extensive testing – checking everything from weathertightness and security through to continuous loads. Many of our tests go beyond the applicable standards. This ensures solutions that are durable, secure and reliable.

On our own test rig

The Schüco Technology Center (TC) is one of the world's leading test centres for windows, doors and façades – and the largest in Europe. Each year, over 40 employees perform hundreds of tests on products ranging from the smallest component through to complete façade units. Mechanical and security aspects play an especially important role in these tests.

Long-lasting thanks to high quality

Design sliding doors from Schüco stand out thanks to the use of high-quality materials. The longer our products are in use, the better their ecological footprint – which makes them a good investment from an economical point of view too. The technology for long-lasting use is tested at the Schüco Technology Center. Only when a sliding door, for example, can withstand the durability test of up to 20,000 opening and closing cycles, is a long service life guaranteed.

Proven in all weathers

Façades, windows and sliding doors are exposed to changing weather conditions on a daily basis. To ensure that Schüco products continue to function reliably under such conditions, they are subjected to a range of specific climatic stresses at the Schüco Technology Center. Heat, cold, humidity and extreme temperature fluctuations are simulated under realistic conditions. This allows us to test how products perform under various climatic conditions – long before they are installed in a building.
