Schüco offers individual career paths for aspiring managers and technical specialists. There is a broad spectrum of further training options available – from in-person sessions and online training to e-learning courses. These cover both technical and personal development topics, including leadership skills, digital competencies and team and project management. In addition, we utilise training to increase awareness among our employees of sustainability issues.
In 2022, the Schüco Academy was lunched as an international training platform and offers more than 1,000 courses covering all of the specialist areas, such as products, sustainability, soft skills and IT skills. In this way, we are able to provide a targeted combination of in-person training and detailed digital content. Mandatory training courses exist for compliance and occupational health and safety. In December 2024, the digital offering was expanded to include a further 100 e-learning courses – with topics ranging from feedback culture to mindfulness. These are available to all employees in multiple languages.
Another key focus is the exchange of knowledge. Employees have the opportunity to create their own content and share their expertise with colleagues throughout the world. During the reporting period, 350 authors participated in writing learning units containing important information from their departments. The agile co-creation concept has enabled us to record new knowledge faster and to make it available to the entire company.
The world of work is changing rapidly. Digitalisation, new technologies and changing customer requirements are necessitating a complete rethink of existing processes. In order to support our departments with this transformation, we have launched the Schüco Co-Pilot programme.
Through this programme, employees will be trained to become internal transformation officers, who will work together with a team from Organisational Development to initiate and manage the process of change within their departments in a targeted way. Their responsibilities include providing advice when problems arise, recommending suitable agile or traditional methods, hosting workshops and information events, and connecting colleagues with similar challenges. By the end of 2024, 35 employees had successfully completed the programme.
Schüco offers a modular training programme for corporate and industry-specific sustainability issues. It covers general aspects, such as “Sustainability in buildings” or “Sustainability at Schüco” as well as more in-depth content, such as “Embodied carbon” and “EU regulations”. The programme is available to all employees of the Schüco Group as a voluntary learning unit.
During the reporting period, the programme was expanded to include sustainability training courses that cover the topic from a personal perspective. The aim is to increase its relevance to everyday life and demonstrate specific actions that can be taken – both in our professional and private lives. For example, participants were able to calculate their own carbon footprint or be inspired by examples of best practice for sustainable action.
