Schüco offers individual career paths for aspiring managers and experts. A wide range of training opportunities was available for this purpose – from face-to-face sessions and online training to e-learning. These covered both professional and personal development topics, including leadership, digital skills, and team and project management. In addition, we used training courses to raise our employees’ awareness of sustainability issues.
Since 2022, the Schüco Academy has served as an international training platform, bringing together 681 courses from all specialist areas, including products, sustainability, soft skills and IT knowledge. This enabled us to offer a targeted combination of face-to-face sessions and in-depth digital learning content. Mandatory training was provided for the specialist areas of compliance, occupational health and safety.
Another key focus was on knowledge sharing: employees had the opportunity to create their own content and share their expertise with colleagues around the world. Thanks to the agile co-creation approach, we have been able to capture new knowledge more quickly and make it available to the whole company.
The world of work is changing rapidly. Digitalisation, new technologies and changing customer requirements are necessitating a complete rethink of existing processes. In order to support our departments with this transformation, we have launched the Schüco Co-Pilot programme.
Through this programme, employees will be trained to become internal transformation officers, who will work together with a team from Organisational Development to initiate and manage the process of change within their departments in a targeted way. Their responsibilities include providing advice when problems arise, recommending suitable agile or traditional methods, hosting workshops and information events, and connecting colleagues with similar challenges. By 2025, 12 employees had successfully completed the program, bringing the total number of members in the Co-Pilot Network to 47 as of the end of 2025.
Schüco offers a modular training programme for corporate and industry-specific sustainability issues. It covers general aspects, such as “Sustainability in buildings” or “Sustainability at Schüco” as well as more in-depth content, such as “Embodied carbon” and “EU regulations”. The programme is available to all employees of the Schüco Group as a voluntary learning unit.
During the reporting period, the programme was expanded to include sustainability training courses that cover the topic from a personal perspective. The aim is to increase its relevance to everyday life and demonstrate specific actions that can be taken – both in our professional and private lives. For example, participants were able to calculate their own carbon footprint or be inspired by examples of best practice for sustainable action.
