The highest standards in sustainability and thermal insulation combined with design freedom

With the Schüco FWS 50.SI Green façade system, Schüco is once again fulfilling its obligation to create ecologically sustainable products. Equipped with glazing gaskets and integrated pressure plates with renewable raw materials, the mullion/transom façade system with 50 mm face width provides the same technical and structural system properties as in the basic Schüco FWS 50.SI (Super Insulated) façade system, including the best thermal insulation to passive house level.

Buildings consume about 40 percent of the energy generated worldwide. The construction and utilisation of buildings are also the main causes of greenhouse gas emissions. The building sector offers twice as much potential for cutting CO2 emissions as the transport sector. Governments are responding to this with stringent regulations for the construction sector.

Architects, specifiers and clients are therefore demanding new, ecologically sound products, while governments are responding with stricter regulations. Schüco is aware of its responsibility to the environment and, for decades, has developed products and systems for the building envelope, which contribute to environmental and climate protection.

Planning benefit

  • Combination of sustainability with maximum energy efficiency to passive house standard
  • Glazing gaskets and pressure plate made from glass fibre-reinforced plastic with renewable raw materials
  • Profile-integrated spandrel safety barrier for floor-to-ceiling opening units and low spandrels ensure a minimalist and harmonious façade appearance
  • Integration of diverse insert units from Schüco window, doors and sliding systems
