Kajplats 6

Sculptured presence on the waterfront

In the neighbourhood of Liljeholmskaje, Kajplats 6 towers above as a new landmark of Stockholm. The high-rise building that borders the waterfront comprises 26 storeys and a U-shaped city block that houses either six or seven floors. Designed by Ripellino Architects (now Reflex Architects), Kajplats 6 combines innovative façade technology with architectural freedom and urban presence, creating a modern high-rise building that masterfully intertwines light, material and visual connections.

Dynamic unitised façade with all-glass look

The pre-fabricated Schüco AF UDC 80 SG façade system was used for the first time worldwide. The fully glazed façade provides a characteristic statement and blends innovative façade technology with an attractive design and a high level of functionality. Generous balconies, usable public spaces on the street level and a gourmet restaurant on the very top floor combine city living with impressive views and urban presence. Inspired by the trunks of birch trees and sand tones from the surrounding environment, the façade conveys a natural and vibrant texture.
