The Schüco vent replacement solution enables existing vents in suitable Royal S window systems manufactured between 1992 and 2008 to be replaced without completely removing the existing outer frame or altering the connection to the building structure. New vents from the Schüco AWS range, including suitable fittings and gaskets, are integrated into the existing system.
The solution may be particularly suitable for projects where retaining the existing outer frame is technically feasible and meets the planning objectives. The suitability of the existing system, along with the relevant technical and building physics requirements, must be assessed for each individual project.
Schüco AWS 75.SI+ Reno enables suitable timber, PVC-U and aluminium windows to be upgraded without completely removing the existing outer frame. The new frame is installed from the inside over the existing outer frame. Depending on the existing construction, this can limit interventions in the connection to the building structure and reduce the need for additional interior finishing work.
The refurbishment principle may allow windows to be replaced while the building remains in use. Whether and to what extent installation work, dust and noise can be reduced depends on the structural conditions and the planned configuration.

Schüco AOC 50/60 Reno is a refurbishment concept for suitable mullion/transom façades and glass roofs. Where permitted by the existing construction and its project-specific condition, existing load-bearing structures and connections to the building structure can be retained and supplemented with adapter profiles, an AOC add-on construction and new sealing and insulation layers.
As part of the modernisation, new glazing and, depending on the project design, ventilation solutions, solar shading systems or photovoltaic modules can be integrated. Whether and to what extent the measures can be implemented while the building remains in operation is assessed on the basis of the structural and operational conditions.

The folding sliding systems can be installed above a balustrade or fixed bottom light and offer an opening width of 90%, providing an unobstructed view to the outside. Large vent dimensions and weights can be accommodated, while different opening configurations, folding to the right, to the left or in both directions, provide flexible design options.
A cleaning fitting allows the outside of the glazing to be cleaned from inside, making maintenance easier. The balcony can be transformed into an additional space that can be used throughout the year.
