Optimum solutions for existing buildings

Schüco Welcome Forum

Sustainable preservation through the replacement of Schüco window and façade components

Age-related wear and tear, improper operation or modernisation requirements – replacing window and façade components makes it possible to preserve the fabric of the building without extensive planning work. Thanks to the backwards compatibility of Schüco systems, older components such as glass, gaskets and handles can also be replaced without any problems. Replacement optimises thermal insulation and increases comfort, while also contributing to the longevity and value retention of the Schüco units. Even a small budget can enable energy costs and CO2 emissions to be reduced, while fulfilling legal sustainability requirements.

Replacement of Schüco Royal S vents with Schüco AWS

Schüco vent replacement enables the modernisation of existing Royal S series window systems (built between 1992 and 2008) without interfering with the outer frame or the attachment to building structure. For planning, this means no structural adjustments, no costly dismantling work and therefore significantly reduced coordination and consultation efforts.

The new vents from the current Schüco AWS series are fitted precisely – including modern fittings and gaskets – and meet current energy efficiency and functional requirements. Quick installation minimises construction times and means that ongoing building operations remain virtually unaffected.

The result is a cost-effective and technically clean solution for the energy-efficient refurbishment of existing windows – ideal for projects where complete window renovation is not possible or not economical.

Fast and clean window renovation during ongoing operation

Schüco AWS 75.SI⁺ Reno offers a highly thermally insulated solution for upgrading timber, PVC-U and aluminium windows – without dismantling the existing outer frame. For planning, this means no alterations to the building structure, no structural adjustments and significantly reduced clarification of details.

The new frame is mounted onto the existing outer frame from the inside – without any additional interior cladding measures. This speeds up installation, reduces dust and noise pollution, and allows modernisation work to take place while the building is still in use.

The minimal intervention in the existing building reduces the planning effort, the measure is eligible for subsidies and the aesthetic quality of the façade is preserved. This results in an economical, standard-compliant solution that can be implemented quickly for energy-efficient renovation projects.
