Object description

The old sports hall at the district school in Bergedorf was severely damaged by a fire in 2009 and subsequently had to be demolished. The exterior of the new building opened in 2012 is characterised by dynamically modulated roof edges, asymmetrically positioned areas of glass, as well as a dark, irregular, relief-style clinker brick façade. Inside the sports hall, the colours green, blue and red are predominant. The translucent glazing at the side with Schüco FW 50+.HI provides natural daylight without any glare. Designed in black and white, the cultural space is flooded with daylight by the Schüco FW 50+.HI system.
