A working environment that makes you feel good

25 Cannon Street is an address where greater emphasis is placed on the wellbeing of the employees who work in this functional office building. By creating a modern working environment that prioritises maximum use of natural light, improved air quality and flexible floor spaces, the building offers a working atmosphere that boosts both the productivity of the employees and their satisfaction. Contributing to this is the publicly accessible garden carefully redesigned by award-winning landscape architect Tom Stuart-Smith. It provides a place of tranquility in the midst of busy city life.

Preserving historical integrity

As the building is located near to a number of listed buildings, a sensitive and exacting approach to the renovation was required. The original stone façade and structure were retained, allowing the historical integrity of the building to be preserved. The new glazing was designed to be modern but in keeping with its context and supports the aim of carefully integrating Neoclassical elements of the building architecture. It also increases the energy efficiency of the building and provides the best views of nearby St. Paul's Cathedral.

Striving for BREEAM “Excellent”

From retaining the original stone façade and structure to reducing the carbon emissions, sustainability was at the heart of this project throughout the construction process. The building was constructed in accordance with high performance criteria and is aiming to achieve the “Excellent” rating from BREEAM. Improved energy efficiency, operation using renewable energies, and sustainable products such as the large Schüco ADS 75 HD.HI aluminium doors installed, all contribute towards this. The Cradle to Cradle certification of these highly stable commercial doors is testament to their very good recyclability.
