Winner of the Individual House Award

The Field House by Spratley & Partners and IQ Glass replaces an existing dwelling on a sensitive green belt site in Cookham, Berkshire. The cantilevered first-floor master bedroom with generous full-height corner windows provides panoramic views.

 
The architect has achieved a contemporary rural aesthetic through the use of zinc roofing, pre-weathered burnt-timber cladding, and brickwork. Large areas of structural glass are employed throughout and are seamlessly integrated with Schüco casement doors.
