Sophisticated system-based design
The entire system features German engineering in every detail.
Seamlessly connecting the outside with the inside in the most stylish and functional way, this bi-fold door is available in large pane sizes of up to 3.5m high x 1.5m wide. This means doors can be taller with fewer separate panes per opening, which combined with sightlines of only 90mm offers greater views with minimal obstruction.
Performance
Thermal insulation
Increased airtightness enables the AS FD bi-fold door to achieve U-values as low as 1.0, which is unrivalled on the market. This could mean the crucial difference when working toward a warm, energy-efficient building that also allows the luxury of ample glass.
Level threshold
In addition to its thermal insulation properties, AS FD also comes with three different threshold options, one of which is a flush, zero-level threshold. The bi-fold door provides greater ease of access for everyone, whether it’s families with young children, the elderly or people with restricted mobility.
THE ULTIMATE BI-FOLD DOOR
The AS FD bi-fold door system achieves outstanding thermal insulation with u-values of 1.0. The highest water tightness values (to Class 9A) are achieved, allowing AS FD to be used even in exposed locations. Design handles, as well as flush threshold options, can be integrated for added convenience. Highly secure, with a 3-point lock tested to PAS 24 and RC2, the bi-fold door is also covered by Secured by Design the official police security initiative
