Data privacy statement for ‘Schüco Welcome App’

1.       Information about the collection of personal data

We, Schüco International KG, make the Welcome App available for you to use. You can download it on to your mobile device, refer to it when attending the Schüco Welcome Forum, and use it to stay informed about our events. In the following, we give you information about the collection of personal data when using this app. Personal data includes all data that personally relates to you, e.g. name, address, email addresses, user behaviour.

2.2.    When you contact us via email or a contact form, we store your email address and, if provided, your name and telephone number in order to answer your questions. We then delete any data generated in this context once it is no longer necessary to store it or – in the case of statutory retention obligations – restrict the processing thereof.


2.3.    We use external service providers for individual features of our app. These were carefully selected by us and commissioned in writing; they are bound to follow our instructions and are regularly monitored. The service providers will not pass on this data to third parties. Any data processing carried out by third parties will take place exclusively within the EU.



3.       Your rights

3.1.    You can assert the following rights against us with regard to your personal data:


  • The right to information
  • The right to correction or deletion
  • The right to object to data processing
  • The right to data portability


3.2.    You also have the right to complain to the factually and locally responsible data protection supervisory authorities about the processing of your personal data in our company.

4.       The collection and processing of personal data when using our mobile app

4.1.    When downloading the mobile app, the necessary information is transferred to the App Store, which legitimises it for download, i.e. in particular user name, email address and customer number for your account, time of download, payment information if necessary, and the individual device ID. We have no influence over this data collection and are not responsible for it. We only process the data if it is necessary to download the mobile app on to your mobile device.


4.2.    When using the mobile app, we collect the personal data described below, in order to make the functions convenient to use and as required by us for certain purposes. These may be the result of technical necessities, contractual requirements or express user request. (Legal basis is Article 6(1)(1)(f) of the GDPR):


  • IP address
  • Date and time of the request
  • Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
  • Content of the request (specific page)
  • Access status/HTTP status code
  • Data volume transferred in each case
  • Website from which the request originates
  • Browser
  • Operating system and interface
  • Language and version of browser software
  • Email address, surname, first name
  • Target audience


4.3.    Furthermore, we require your device ID, unique end device number (IMEI = International Mobile Equipment Identity), unique number of the network user (IMSI = International Mobile Subscriber Identity), mobile phone number (MSISDN), MAC address for WLAN usage, name of your mobile end device, email address.


4.4.    This app does not use cookies. Instead, it uses ‘local storage’ technology to store your preferred settings within the app. This stores data locally in the app. Advertising tracking data is not included. This data cannot be accessed by third parties. The data is deleted when you delete the app. Legal basis for the use of local storage is Art. 6 para. 1 letter f) of the GDPR, to provide you with a fully functioning offering within the app.



5.         Deletion

Data belonging to you that is required to use the app is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to meet the purpose for which it was collected or as soon as you remove the app from your end device. Your data will be blocked instead of deleted if there are legal or factual obstacles preventing its deletion (e.g. special retention obligations).



6.       Transfer of data

No transfer, sale or other transmission of your personal data to third parties shall take place, unless it is necessary for the purposes of performing the contract, or you have expressly consented to it.


II.         Use of photos


Your photo gallery will not be accessed when you use the app. Photos can be generated and stored locally within the app.
