From art project to living space

Belle Harbour, Hamburg

Bielefeld. The “Belle Harbour” residential project located in the heart of Hamburg's HafenCity combines architecture with an inclusive living concept. A distinctive feature is the aluminium profiles used for around 160 windows, which were previously part of a temporary art installation. The slimline residential tower with its clearly structured façade, vertical cut-outs for balconies and striking crown with a roof garden gives the cityscape an impressive accent and at the same time makes a statement in favour of inclusive living.

The aluminium profiles used in the architectural festival were sorted by type during dismantling, returned to the production cycle and repurposed as aluminium windows in the “Belle Harbour” residential project.
