Aluminium fire door for external applications: excellent design combined with 30-minute fire resistance

Schüco FireStop ADS 90 FR 30-CE (Fire Resistant) expands the Schüco FireStop system platform with aluminium fire doors for external use which are CE-classified in accordance with EN 16034 for 30 minutes of fire resistance in combination with EN 14351-1 for good weathertightness values.

At the heart of the system platform is the innovative, open-rebate profile geometry, which offers excellent design in combination with a high level of flexibility and efficiency in planning, fabrication and installation.

The thermally broken aluminium fire construction with a basic depth of 90 mm offers attractive solutions for external use. Extremely narrow profile face widths alongside concealed fittings and door closers ensure an elegant, minimalist door design with maximum transparency. The use of a glass infill or thermally insulated fire-resistant panels rounds off the wide range of design options for versatile external fire doors.

Other system benefits include the open-rebate profile geometry, which enables fittings and locks for example to be integrated without the need for time-consuming machining and concealed with a simple functional make-up piece. Subsequent changes in use can also be carried out during operation. The system can be fitted with additional electric components such as electric strikes quickly and economically, and a range of functions can be added to enhance it.

The CE-classified fire door system for use in the building envelope offers a new level of flexibility for planners, architects and fabricators when it comes to implementing building regulations – with a range of designs that satisfies the most exacting demands.

Planning benefit

  • CE-classified fire doors for external applications: system solutions for use across Europe
  • The highest level of technical performance characteristics offers a high degree of versatility
  • Design with toplight and sidelights
  • A glass infill or thermally insulated fire-resistant panels can be used
  • Excellent thermal insulation
  • Different thresholds and substructure profiles can be used if cut to the requirements of the project
  • Free selection of the most efficient fabrication type ensures attractive cost benefits: depending on the requirements, the doors can be designed with frame connectors or T-cleats
  • Subsequent installation or dismantling of fittings components, e.g. installation of electric strikes even during operation
  • Installation of fittings without the need for time-consuming machining
  • Comprehensive fixing system for almost tool-free installation of fittings
