The TechLab in India specialises in performance and durability tests in accordance with European, American, Brazilian, Australian, New Zealand and Japanese standards.

TechLab IH tests the performance of the entire product range of window, door and sliding systems. Product development teams and innovation teams that develop new technologies receive support and advice for their projects, in particular with regard to resistance to high wind forces and the high level of watertightness of large units. TechLab IH is fully equipped to test both standard products and bespoke systems.

 

Our highlights

  • A test rig for a maximum unit size of 5.5 m wide by 4.3 m high: resistance to air, water and wind up to 10 kPa
  • Special flap valve that generates a 2-second pulse for dynamic tests of watertightness in accordance with Japanese and ISO regulations
  • A test rig for testing the continuous functioning of sliding door rollers and dynamic thresholds
  • Live streaming function so that participants in other countries can follow the tests

Weathertightness tests

Schüco OneLab has the largest indoor façade test rig in Europe. Connected façade units up to 21 metres wide and 13 metres tall can be tested in the 18 metre-high hall. Schüco can therefore test large and complex three-dimensional constructions under realistic conditions, in order to meet the increasing requirements of customers in the long term.

Mechanical tests

We want our products to be able to withstand different mechanical loads without resulting in damage. That is why it is necessary to investigate the mechanics of a system in detail. Load tests, such as vertical load, torsion and reveal tests, drop tests, pendulum impact tests and excessive loading of individual components are all carried out by us in-house.
