As a result of ever-increasing requirements on the structural properties of buildings due to growing sizes and the rise in unit weights, the requirements on building component testing are also constantly increasing. It is often not possible to provide certificates of structural integrity or to calculate loads. If this is the case, component tests are then the only option to combine theory and practice. With a length of 5000 mm and a width of 1100 mm, a machine workbench with two movable gantries offers a wide range of usage options. In addition to T cleat, corner cleat and glass carrier tests, 4-point bending tests and special tests can also be carried out.
As well as structural and dynamic pressure, bending and tensile tests, tests of the mechanical performance of thermally broken frame profiles can also be performed. The tests take place at room temperature and under different climate conditions (- 20°C and + 80°C). The ageing of test samples under the influence of defined weights and temperatures is tested over a period of 1000 hours.
As well as oversize components, it is important to not overlook small components either. The mechanical properties of gaskets, sealing caps, fittings components and other parts that have to absorb loads of any kind are tested on different tensile, pressure and bending test rigs.
