Architecturally sophisticated high security window with inter-compatible burglar, bullet and blast resistance

The S6es-w series aluminium window has been certified for burglar resistance (up to RC 4), bullet resistance (up to FB4-NS) and blast resistance (up to 500 kg of explosives in an arena air-blast test) at accredited test institutes in accordance with the relevant standards.

Despite the high security requirements, the S6es-w series stands for modern design and design freedom. Various tested design options, such as fixed lights, double-vent windows, side-hung windows, bottom-hung windows, turn/tilt windows, with sidelights and toplights, outward-opening top-hung windows, projected top-hung windows and side-hung vents, as well as window doors are available for individual solutions and installation situations.

A highlight is the SECURON® technical construction, which is certified as both burglar-resistant up to RC 3 and blast-resistant when the window is in the tilt position.

From private homes or project solutions to banks, government institutions and industrial security companies, the S6es-w aluminium window offers protection against criminal activity, terrorist attacks and incidents and accidents, for example in the chemical and petrochemical industries.

The METAS® series option has been developed for break-out resistance and especially for detention purposes. It offers protection against escape attempts made from both inside and outside. Suicide resistance also available.

Identical profile face widths guarantee a visually neutral and uniform appearance. The security components are integrated in the profile core so that no additional profiles have to be fitted from the outside.

The highly thermally insulated aluminium window was tested as a complete unit including glazing and wall attachment.

In the SÄLZER® SYSTEM, the windows can be combined and integrated with all door and façade systems. This guarantees complete burglar, bullet and blast resistance up to the highest resistance classes.

Planning benefit

  • The aluminium window construction has been tested and certified in accordance with DIN 1627-1630 (burglar resistance), DIN EN 1522-1523 (bullet resistance) and DIN EN 13123-2 | DIN EN 13124-1 (blast resistance). The window has also been tested with up to 500 kg of explosives and with a long pressure duration (up to 2 seconds)
  • No screw fixing required for the glass retention beads, so no impact on appearance
  • Various design options tested, such as double-vent windows
  • SECURON®, burglar-resistant and blast-resistant when the window is in the tilt position
  • METAS®, special aluminium window for detention purposes (e.g. prisons, police stations, courts, forensic facilities, detention centres) tested against both break-in and break-out attempts (* no standard for break-outs)
  • Natural glazing rebate ventilation and controlled drainage as no bonding is required for the glass
  • High security window tested in accordance with the structural performance properties of DIN EN 1435-1 and CE certification
  • Heavy vent weights possible; side-hung fittings up to 350 kg permitted, turn/tilt fittings up to 200 kg
  • Triple insulating glass possible due to basic depth
