A dialogue between bricks and glass

The new town hall in the Danish town of Vejen focuses on openness, light and modern working environments. The façade of the town hall thrives on the contrast between the grey bricks and large glass surfaces. The windows are set back slightly, which not only creates an exciting depth effect, but also emphasises the sculptural quality of the masonry. This interplay of light and shadow gives the building a dynamic presence in the urban space.

The Schüco FWS 60 CV (Concealed Vent) façade system harmoniously combines slimline face widths with a high degree of functionality and excellent thermal insulation. On the flush, closed inside, only a slender shadow gap and the window handle betray the presence of the window vents.
