Sustainability as a central design feature

Designed by Jonas Architectes Associés, the Lycée Edward Steichen in Clervaux is an exemplary contribution to modern educational architecture. Built on a former industrial site and located near to the railway line, the building impresses with its carefully coordinated integration into the surrounding landscape. Sustainability was an integral part of the architectural concept. Among other things, a highly insulated building envelope, natural ventilation systems and photovoltaic systems on the roof surfaces contribute to the energy efficiency of the building. Particular attention was paid to the entry of natural light, which is clearly evident in the design of the sports hall roof that is fitted with six generously sized toplights.

Schüco TipTronic SimplySmart sets new standards for concealed actuator technology. The fittings system not only represents the quietest mechatronic Schüco actuator on the market, but is also a fully-tested system consisting of an actuator, fitting and profile system. Increased opening widths and flexible unit sizes also allow Schüco TipTronic SimplySmart to be used in almost all Schüco window systems with various opening types.

Sistema de ventilação natural de fumos e climatização para áreas verticais e claraboias de acordo com EN 12101-2

Schüco proporciona sistemas de janelas totalmente testados para construções verticais e claraboias, de acordo com o standard atual EN 12102-2. Estas soluções de sistema para instalações verticais estão baseadas no já testado sistema de janelas Schüco AWS, AWS TipTronic e para janelas de coberturas Schüco AWS 57 RO. Os propulsores mecatrónicos completamente ocultos na série Schüco TipTronic SHEVS combinam uma segurança testada com isolamento térmico e requisitos de design. A medida de abertura até 500 mm para a ventilação diária, combina-se com uma medida de abertura de 1000 mm em caso fogo. O utilizador pode selecionar entre distintos tipos de abertura e profundidades do sistema. Folhas basculantes com abertura interior, folhas de batente ou folhas projetadas com abertura exterior são possíveis. Podem-se aplicar como uma unidade ou aplicar-se nos sistemas de fachada. Outra caraterística a destacar é o tipo de abertura em ponte levadiça, recentemente desenvolvida. Proporciona uma área de abertura ótima com um tempo de abertura máximo de 60 segundos. Também se pode fabricar janelas altas e estreitas perto de 360 mm.
