TechLab HighSecurity

Security is a top priority here: as a specialist for high security within the Schüco Group, the TechLab specializes in the requirements for burglar resistance, bullet resistance and blast resistance.

The strength of the TechLab lies in its flexibility and the expertise gained from decades of ballistic testing, which goes far beyond the ballistic classes and standards classified in Europe.

Technicians and ballisticians work hand in hand during the design of a bullet-resistant safety product so that potential weak points can be eliminated before the first sample tests are carried out in order to then quickly and flexibly produce small and large samples for the ballistic tests. This process saves a lot of time and allows the design or material thickness to be optimized in the best possible way.

Our highlights

The TechLab can test in accordance with all current national and international standards, such as

  • STANAG 4569

"We test the safety of our products in countless real-life blast tests. We develop products and test them to their full performance limits in order to protect human lives in real-life extreme situations. Incidentally, this also includes cyclones!"

Safety tests

For window, door and façade systems from Schüco, this motto means two test types: burglar resistance and pendulum impact. Falling from a great height from a Schüco unit is thankfully inconceivable, as safety barriers – primarily safety barrier glazing – are fully tested in-house. Whether it's a hard or soft body impact, falling out must be prevented at all costs. Different impact bodies are used for this and are dropped onto our systems from different heights depending on the requirement.
