Use of cookies

To make visiting our website(s) attractive and to enable the use of particular features, we use so-called cookies on various pages. These are small text files which are stored on your end device. Some of the cookies used by us are then deleted once your browser session has ended, i.e. after your browser has been closed (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your end device and enable us or our partner companies to recognise your browser upon your next visit (persistent cookies).

You can configure your browser so that you are notified about the use of cookies and can make case-by-case decisions to accept them or can exclude the acceptance of cookies in specific cases or in general. If cookies are not accepted, the functionality of our website may be restricted. The help function in the menu bar of most web browsers explains how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how you can get your browser to inform you when you receive new cookies, and how you can delete all cookies that have already been received as well as blocking all additional ones.

In Internet Explorer:

  • In the “Extras” menu, select “Internet Options”.
  • Click on the “Privacy” tab.
  • Now you can adjust the security settings for the Internet zone. Here, you can regulate whether cookies should be accepted or rejected in general and define which cookies should be accepted or rejected.

  • You can confirm your settings by clicking “OK”.

In Firefox:

1. Required (essential, functional, indispensable) cookies that cannot be deactivated

Technically required cookies are needed so that Schüco's websites can work without problems. They cannot be deactivated. Without these cookies, certain parts of web pages or desired services cannot be made available. These cookies include session cookies and cookies that safeguard access to content or connected systems.

2. Statistical/analysis cookies

These cookies are used for statistical purposes in order to analyse the use of the website and to optimise our offering through the evaluation of campaigns we have carried out, for example. These cookies are used to improve the user-friendliness of the website and thus the user experience. They collect information about how the website is used, the number of visits, the average time spent on the website, and the pages that are called. These cookies help to identify the elements of our Internet offering that are used most frequently and enable the further development of the website in accordance with the needs of visitors. All of the information collected by these cookies is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If users do not allow these cookies, we cannot tell which web pages a user visited and how the pages performed during the user's visit.

3. Marketing/third-party cookies

Marketing cookies are used by third-party providers to display personalised and appealing advertisements for individual users. They do this by “following” users across websites. This also involves the incorporation of services of third-party providers who deliver their services independently.
