Object description
The BMW head office in Leipzig, designed by architect Zaha Hadid, represents a completely new style of industrial architecture. The head office is the central meeting point for the whole complex. It is the main entrance and connects the three core fabrication areas, vehicle body manufacturing, assembly and paint shop. The aim of the architects was to reflect these production processes in the architecture. The other design parameters were transparency and spatial continuity. The bodyshells travel through the build ing on production lines in full view of staff and visitors.
