What features should your dream entrance door have? Find out more.
The heat stays in and the cold is kept out. Entrance doors from Schüco provide thermal insulation that already meet all the legal requirements of tomorrow. The potential energy savings can be fully utilised thanks to the interplay between the entrance door, windows, sliding units etc. The result is lower energy costs. And a commitment to climate protection that starts at the door to your home.
A thermally insulated Schüco entrance door guarantees a comfortable room climate whatever the temperature outside. The heat is kept inside the house during the cold season and outside during the summer. In this way, you save on expensive energy for your heating and air conditioning unit – whilst also making a contribution to climate protection. Schüco guarantees you the highest insulation values whatever the weather. Our door thresholds also shield you from discomfort caused by driving rain and draughts.
The isothermal flow shows: despite minus temperatures outside, there is a pleasant room temperature inside, even right by the front door. It goes without saying that Schüco front doors meet all legal requirements, such as the German energy saving regulations (EnEV) that came into effect on 1 October 2009.
For energy-saving Schüco entrance doors, a thermally insulated door threshold forms the seal with the floor. It prevents expensive energy losses and offers reliable protection against driving rain and draughts in the floor area. Schüco offers different threshold options that can also be used for easy access living due to the minimal installation height of 20 mm.
To plan your new Schüco entrance door, there is a selection of different profile series available which meet the most varied of requirements in terms of thermal insulation, e.g. the modern Schüco ADS 112 IC profile series which, for the first time, has achieved thermal insulation with a certificate from the Passive House Institute and which is particularly suited to use in luxury housing with high energy consumption.
The SI system (Super Insulation) sets new standards with excellent Ud values of 0.74 W(m²K). The best values are achieved due to the combination of a highly thermally insulated profile system and a closed, highly insulated infill. The Ud value describes the thermal insulation properties of the entire door system. It expresses how much heat is lost from the inside of a building to the outside. The smaller the value, the better the thermal insulation and therefore the higher the saving on heating costs.
The Schüco ADS 90 PL.SI inward-opening, face-fitted entrance door construction is tailored to meet the special requirements of the entrance door market and fulfils the highest demands for function and design. The Soft Line (SL) design with its elegantly rounded profile contour offers special design options for outer frames and glazing beads. Excellent thermal insulation (Uf value of 1.4 W/(m²K)) is achieved. There is also burglar resistance to RC 3 (WK3) and greater sound reduction. In addition, there are easily integrated comfort and security functions.
Protected day and night. With Schüco, security is not just a feeling, but a certainty. Through innovative technology that cannot be seen, but can be felt. Through automatic closing and monitoring systems. Through entrance doors that you can equip to fully meet your personal security requirements.
Schüco offers state-of-the-art locking systems and fitting options to individually customise your new entrance door to your own personal security needs. You can identify how effective an entrance door is at protecting against break-in attempts from the RC (WK) security class, which is defined by European standards. Schüco offers security components up to resistance class RC3 (WK3) for your dream door. The police recommend resistance class 2 for entrance doors. Your Schüco partner company can provide you with in-depth advice on this and prepare the appropriate security package for you.
The Schüco security range includes locks with 1-point, 3-point and 5-point locking so that the degree of burglar resistance for the entrance door can be selected according to your own security requirements. How well your door is protected against attempted break-ins depends crucially on the type of locking and the number of locking points.
Additional claw bolts in a 3-point locking system ensure increased burglar resistance. Compared to a basic lock with only one main locking bolt in the centre of the door, the entrance door is secured with an additional claw bolt above and below the main bolt.
Outstanding security through 5-point locking with claw bolt and steel bolt. In addition to the main bolt in the centre, two further toughened steel dead bolts are also deployed at the top and bottom along with the two claw bolts, thereby providing a total of five locking points within the entrance door.
Four latch bolts plus the main lock ensure maximum protection against break-ins. As soon as the door is closed, the Schüco SafeMatic automatic lock locks the door at four points without any need for a key. If the key is also turned, the number of locking points increases to five.
The profile cylinder of the door lock plays an important role in the security features of the entrance door, since it is one of the the main points of attack during break-in attempts. A Schüco security profile cylinder offers maximum security.
You can forget a key, but not your own finger. Opening the door with your fingerprint is just one of the many ways you can increase comfort. From electrical door openers to automatic closing systems and radio controls, Schüco offers system solutions that can be integrated into every home. And increase its value.
The automatically-controlled building envelope is a topic with a great future. Numerous functions such as shading and security must be combined to optimise energy consumption. This is achieved with automatic opening and closing systems for windows, doors, sliding systems and solar shading that control natural ventilation cycles, and daylight and sunlight-dependent shading systems, which ideally are coupled with internal lighting, heating and climate control. Surface-mounted or integrated side-hung door drives provide ease of access. The lack of door thresholds also allows for an individual design of the sill, e.g. through the use of the automatic threshold gasket.
Thanks to its high degree of functionality and an individual choice of modules with a timeless design, the Schüco Door Control System combines style with comfort and security. From effective access control with fingerprint or code keypad to comprehensive door communication with video camera, intercom system and call button, the door management system offers a wide range of application options for ensuring the security of your home. Moreover, an LED spotlight, a back-lit house number and a movement sensor can enhance the entrance area in terms of both function and design.
The flush-fitted installation of the DCS modules in the door profile and the high-quality surface made of black glass give the system a refined, exclusive character. The uniform, timeless design of the modules and their variable arrangement offers great design freedom. Decorative units, which are available in all RAL colours on request, offer a further opportunity for individualisation.
In 2012 the Schüco Door Control System won the if product design award and reddot design award for outstanding product design.

Visible individuality – even before you enter the home. Schüco gives you the opportunity to combine the shape, colour and fittings of the entrance door in accordance with your personal requirements. . Our numerous design options allow you to give the heart of your home a stylish and contemporary look. To lend every building an unmistakeable style: your own.
A visually perfect door design is created by combining coordinated door frames, leaf frames and door infills. The door infill, integrated in the frame of the active door leaf, is the most important styling element with which you can lend your dream door a distinctive design thanks to the variety of colours and shapes. Your Schüco partner has a comprehensive range of door infills waiting for you. However you want to express your style, Schüco offers an almost unlimited selection of colours: from anodised surface finishes, to RAL and metallic colour coatings and sand-blasted structural effects. The option to design door frames and door infills with different colours inside and outside provides further design options.
The Residential Line (RL) profile type with bevelled profile contour and the Soft Line (SL) profile type with its elegantly rounded profile contour offer special design options specifically for the faithful restoration of old buildings. In conjunction with the wide selection of door infills, there is a comprehensive level of design freedom for the external appearance of the building. Glazing beads with different designs open up additional visual options for the internal appearance of the entrance door.
There are almost no limits to your creativity when planning a new entrance door. Select the perfect solution for you from this wide range of door infills. Three design options are available: framed infills and leaf-enclosing door infills on one side or both sides, also called mounted infills. The advantage of leaf-enclosing infill types is that the large appearance of the door leaf makes the entrance door seem wider and more elegant – an important design element when renovating narrow entrance doors. Selecting a mounted infill on both sides not only widens the external appearance of the door, the internal view of the whole surface also ensures a generous appearance.
With a coordinated door pull and an appropriate rosette, the design lines of the entrance door can be discreetly accentuated both inside and outside – or an original design can also be created. There is a comprehensive range of door pulls, push handles and push bar handles for the outside of the door. Whether made from oval or round tubing in stainless steel, PVC-U or cast aluminium – all of the handles are of the highest quality, stylish and extremely durable. The door handle on the inside is the counterpart to the outside handle. Here too, Schüco offers a wide selection of shapes, sizes and colours with which you can perfectly complement the appearance of the inside of the door.
Door hinges have to bear the entire weight of the door leaf, guarantee durable and reliable operation and look good at the same time. Schüco door hinges meet these criteria supremely well. When designing the entrance door, there are a choice of three options. For a perfect door appearance without visible fittings components, fully concealed door hinges are the first choice. Narrow barrel hinges blend perfectly with the profile lines of the door due to their slimline appearance. Surface-mounted hinges are the traditional type and serve as an elegant design detail. Intensive long-term tests have shown all the door hinges to be robust and of the highest quality.
