The high-tech mate- rial strongly contrasts with a second line consisting of exposed matte concrete prefabricated parts that run around the entire building. The two ribbons of material are interwoven and thus visually unite the warehouse and administrative wing into one build- ing. The building’s main entrance is located on the east side of the administrative block, the façade of which combines the two materials and thus both functions. Apart from the colorful accent that the Schüco ProSol TF modules create on the south and east façades, they are organized and enlivened by dynamically distributed solar shading panels. There is a friendly, inviting character. The highly insulating aluminum window system AWS 75.SI was used for the ribbon windows between the meanders. “It’s pure green innovation,” said the public utility company’s chairman of the board Manfred Hüls- mann when the finished façade went into opera- tion. 123 photovoltaic modules ProSol TF covering a total surface of 194 m2 have an output of nearly 10 kilowatt peak and in the future will generate almost 7,000 kilowatt hours of solar power per year. “Dur- ing the construction of the new building, we knew from the very beginning that the south-oriented fa- çade would be perfect for solar power usage due to its location without shade”, Hülsmann added. The network center also has a solar installation on the
