Building work in progress

Completion in 2022: The Schüco Welcome Forum

With 4650 m2 of usable space, the world's largest Schüco showroom – the Welcome Forum – has been built in Bielefeld. It provides a glimpse of the Schüco world, showcasing our latest products, machinery and digital solutions. Versatile conference, sales and presentation spaces complete the facilities of the new visitor centre.

Due to ongoing renovations, the showroom is currently closed.

We look forward to seeing you at the new Schüco Welcome Forum in 2022.

Groundbreaking ceremony for the Welcome Forum on 01 July 2019.

Old becomes new: The basic structure of the old showroom will be retained and the new machine room will find its place in it.

The new visitor centre is taking shape

The building shell work is almost complete, we've already caught a glimpse of the machinery space, and soon you'll be able to take a look through the large window front yourself.

The Welcome Forum 2022

One building – countless possibilities. Soon you'll be able to enjoy a place where you can meet people, be informed and find inspiration.

Much of the building work is already complete...

A lot has happened since the ground-breaking ceremony!

Since then, 380 finished components reinforced with around 210 tonnes of steel have been installed, providing stability for the building. Added to this are 375 m2 of window area and no less than 2350 m2 of façade, with the largest window measuring 4.5 metres tall and stretching over two floors.

  • 1.3 km – The ventilation ducts measure 1.3 km long.
  • 4.650 m² – There is no less than 4650 m2 of usable space.
  • 40 machines – There are 40 pieces of machinery on display.

We're approaching the finish line

"Changes to processes as a result of the pandemic of course meant more planning work for everyone involved at the start. A high level of flexibility in the form of dynamic adjustments and decisions that were sometimes made with less than a day's notice required a lot of discipline."

Sonja Tigges, architect and project manager.

A visitor experience like no other from 2022

You can look forward to a truly unique experience. Just by the entrance, you can read information about the Schüco brand, before entering the showroom to immerse yourself in the Schüco product range. There's a considerable number of products to see here. In another part of the building, you can find out about Schüco machinery and see it live in action. Thanks to the large ribbon windows, the machinery area can also be viewed from outside as a glazed manufacturing facility.
