Mullion/transom façade for the highest requirements in terms of sustainability, thermal insulation and design freedom

With the Schüco FWS 60.SI Green façade system, Schüco is once again fulfilling its obligation to create ecologically sustainable products. Equipped with glazing gaskets and integrated pressure plates with renewable raw materials, the mullion/transom façade system with 60 mm face width provides the same technical and structural system properties as in the basic Schüco FWS 60.SI (Super Insulated) façade system, including the best thermal insulation to passive house level.

Buildings consume about 40 percent of the energy generated worldwide. The construction and utilisation of buildings are also the main causes of greenhouse gas emissions. The building sector offers twice as much potential for cutting CO2 emissions as the transport sector. Governments are responding to this with stringent regulations for the construction sector.

Architects, specifiers and clients are therefore demanding new, ecologically sound products, while governments are responding with stricter regulations. Schüco is aware of its responsibility to the environment and, for decades, has developed products and systems for the building envelope, which contribute to environmental and climate protection.

Planning benefit

  • Optimised thermal insulation using intelligent isolator system with values to passive house level, including screw factor
  • Reflective surfaces on the insulating strip and on the plastic pressure plate reduce energy losses due to thermal radiation
  • Reliable design of large glass loads via system components
  • Triple glazing is even possible with high glass thicknesses thanks to the comprehensive glass carrier system
  • A variety of products with different profile depths and a comprehensive range of cover caps offers a wide spectrum of construction and design options
