Getting things up and running together.
Schüco Sports – connecting People worldwide.
At Schüco, all employees are team players: as part of the Schüco brand ambassador programme, more than 2000 employees are already conveying these values to the outside world as they conquer international sporting facilities. At work, as in sport, they experience success together and find solutions for every challenge.
Schüco has been passionate about sport for many decades. In addition to supporting partners and external events through sponsorship, Schüco is especially committed to its own employees. The Schüco Brand Ambassador programme was established in 2014 to actively support them in their sporting activities. Today, around 2000 employees are part of the Brand Ambassador programme and enjoy many exclusive benefits such as an exclusive sports equipment pack, so that they are perfectly prepared to do their favoured sport (exclusively for Schüco employees).
Our brand ambassadors
During a week-long mountain hike, brand ambassadors Peter Thoelen and Helmut Steininger climbed the highest summit in Kilimanjaro, the 5895 metre-high Uhuru Peak, also known as "the Roof of Africa".
Despite being well prepared, the hike was definitely tough. "The last part of the climb on the Rongai route to the Uhuru Peak in particular required us to summon our last reserves of energy," says Helmut Steininger. The pair were rewarded with a magnificent view of the glaciers and the landscape at sunrise. Their Schüco shirts didn't make it home with them though. "We gave them to our guides Salim and Goda as gifts. The two Africans are now brand ambassadors, wearing them during the transfer between Marangu Gate and Kibo. Schüco is TOP in Africa!"
"I always wanted to travel along the Way of St. James, but never had the time. I combined my dream with my passion for cycling and covered almost 300 km in three days as a pilgrim. The experience was more than worth it, as I met some lovely people along the way and it gave me a new lease of energy for upcoming projects.”
“As a Sales employee, I am always travelling around the world. So that I can stay fit, running shoes are the most important item in my luggage. I have particularly unforgettable experiences when international colleagues go for a run with me and show me their neighbourhood. For example, in the snow and ice in Siberia or passing the Buddha in South Korea.”

Sparrenburg company fun run 2019
In 2019, employees from around 120 companies from East-Westphalia Lippe once again gathered for the Bielefeld company fun run, which took place for the first time at the Sparrenburg castle. The Schüco Sports Brand Ambassador team was also present among the 2000+ participants. In perfect running conditions, a total of 92 employees donned their trainers in the name of Schüco for the 4.8 km and 2.4 km courses. The women of the team triumphed over the competition and set the fastest times over both distances.
The EuroEyes CYCLASSICS in Hamburg are among Europe's largest cycle races. Owing to the complex range of routes, every participant has the perfect cycling experience against the backdrop of the Hanseatic city. With around 50 participants, the 2018 Schüco Sports cycling team once again proved their stamina and team spirit over distances of 60 km, 100 km and 160 km
The starting places for the Hermannslauf race from Detmold to Bielefeld are traditionally all allotted after just a few hours. Schüco has been a sponsor from 2015 to 2018 and also had its own team on the starting line. The route through the Teutoburg Forest provides challenging terrain with altitudes of around 515 metres and descents of 710 metres, and each year represents a very special sporting challenge for all the participants.
Since 2015, Schüco Brand Ambassadors have also been seen on the football pitch. For the Klosterpforten Cup in East Westphalia's Marienfeld, the Schüco company football team enters each year as one of 24 company teams, competing to win against eight teams with renowned ex-Bundesliga players. The proceeds of the event benefit charitable causes in the region. 2017 set a new record of more than 21,000 euros in donations.
