Schüco Hails Initiatives by Schwarzenegger and Obama
At inter-state and international level as well, policies are being framed with an eye to the future. Schwarzenegger has signed partnerships with governors of seven Western states and four Canadian provinces to develop regional cap-and-trade systems to further reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, he has also agreed with the state of New York to look into linking California's future carbon market with a regional trading system on the East coast. The governor has also signed agreements with the United Kingdom and Australia to combat climate change.
