Dear Reader,
Building envelopes that react to the environment and therefore provide the optimum working and living conditions for the users; façades that use light to command attention and emphasise their sophisticated architecture; or units that transform a building from an energy consumer into an energy generator. For all of these strategies, Schüco offers solutions that set new standards in terms of functionality, comfort and climate protection.
Kind regards,
Your Schüco International KG
Intelligent Functionality
Creating sophisticated architecture using intelligent system technology that offers a high level of functionality - solutions such as the modular DCS Door Control System, the LightSkin powered by Zumtobel LED lighting for windows and façades, and photovoltaics integrated into the building stand for precisely that. ADS 65 HD - Heavy Duty System
The large doors from the Schüco Door ADS HD (Heavy Duty) system can be used as a striking feature. They endow every building with a specific character. For public buildings in particular, Schüco door systems offer large opening widths and durability in the event of heavy use.
AWS 102 available in two designs: structural glazing for seamless integration or glazing bead for visual emphasis
As projected top-hung or parallel-opening windows with large opening sections, the outward-opening Schüco Windows AWS 102 and AWS 102.NI (Non-Insulated) ensure the best possible ventilation. Large-scale dimensions up to max. 2700 mm width and 3600 mm height, and vent weights up to 250 kg are possible. Both system variants are compatible with the following façades systems: Schüco FW 50+ / FW 60*, Schüco FW 50+SG / FW 60+SG, Schüco SMC 50, Schüco USC 65 and Schüco 65 SG.
Schüco UCC 65 SG a structural glazing facade with the high performance unitised facade
Schüco Façade UCC 65 S (Unitised Customised Construction) is a flexible and powerful modular system for unitised façades. The main difference between this system and the special constructions is the modular system components approved by renowned test institutes. All other components can be tailored perfectly to
the façade, around these components, on an individual project basis.

Brock University; St. Catharines, Ontario Canada
When designing the New Bioscience Research Complex at Brock University, the design collaboration of Architects Alliance and Payette designed the façade in such a manner to allow natural daylight to penetrate deep into the building. To achieve desired levels of daylight large glass openings with high transparency were required but with a balance of exterior shading and glass surface treatments to efficiently control the light that enters the building. The façade system that used was Schuco’s UCC 65 SG unitized curtain wall system with integrated AWS 102 operable vents and ADS 65 HD doors.
