The Schüco success story started in 1951 with aluminium shop fronts and façade units. Through integrated thinking, powers of innovation and the pursuit of perfection a system of building components was soon developed. When Schüco became part of the Otto-Fuchs Group (Meinerzhagen), its rise to world company status began.

In the 70s Schüco expanded into the rest of Europe and then became the first in the industry to operate worldwide. Today it has 4,600 employees and 12,000 partner companies in over 70 countries; passionate designers and customer-focused, quality-conscious people of action. And always, a highly motivated team with the strength and speed of a family firm, works as a reliable partner.

Modern management methods in employee leadership, constant value analyses (rationalisation), the search for solutions of the future (innovation), and the expansion of sucessfully implemented systems (multiplication) have guaranteed Schüco's successful growth for 50 years.

In 2004, Manager Magazine named Schüco International KG as the company with the best image in the building industry. Schüco came out on top of an "image profile" survey of 2500 boards and managing directors, commissioned by Manager Magazine and carried out by independent market research institutes. Although not represented in the previous survey, on this their first time the Bielefeld company shot straight to first place in their category. They were judged, above all, on customer orientation, product quality, innovation and communication skills.
