Heat pumps generate energy from their surroundings
Schüco heat pumps require electricity for the compressor in order to generate heat.. The compressor compresses energy from the outside air or the ground and uses it for the heating at a high level. For one part used compressor electricity, Schüco heat pumps supply between two and four parts free heat from the surroundings. The operating costs in houses with heat pumps are therefore extraordinarily low.
Solar thermal and heat pumps use the sun
The combination of solar energy system and heat pump makes optimum use of solar heat. The solar energy system makes direct use of solar radiation and converts it into storeable heat.
Heat pumps make indirect use of solar heat. An air/water heat pump uses solar heat stored in the air. A brine/water heat pump uses solar radiation that is stored in the top layers of earth, down to a depth of 100 mm. Ambient air and ground heat act as a large solar heat storage cylinder for the heat pump.
Less partial load operation for a long life
Another positive aspect of connection to the solar energy system is the reduction in the number of times the heat pump is started up and in operating hours. The priority circuit for solar yields extends the life.
