Tips to our Schüco web presence
We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions about the Schüco Internet site for you. Should you not find an answer to your question here or should you require further information, please contact us.
1. How is the Schüco Internet site set up?
You access the Internet pages via an introductory page, on which you can choose one of our six target groups.
Within the target group areas, we offer you four navigation options. Using the top right menu bar located in the header, you can switch between the various target groups. Beneath this navigation, you will find our sub-navigation, which you use to access general information (for example, "Home", "Help", "Contact"). Depending on the target group selected, the top navigation opens in the light-grey bar. The respective sub-points for the information may be found in the left navigation.
2. How do I access the protected areas?
Please select a target group (Partners, Architects, Suppliers). If you are taken to a log-in page (e.g. Cataloguea), select the "First-time registration" button. This button takes you to a registration form, which you need to fill out. Select a user name and password. We recommend: at least 6 characters - a combination of letters and numbers - e.g. 1Company1. When you have filled out the form, accept the conditions of use and the licence agreement and click "Send. You will then be taken to your chosen page. You can select public areas (e.g. "Schüco") without leaving the protected area.
For information on the content of the individual target group areas, please click the site map in the subnavigation.
When you leave the Internet site, please log out using the Logout button.
Note: When you visit in future, please remember that the login is case-sensitive.
3. Why does the registration form not work?
Our pages are optimised for the PC running Internet Explorer Version 5.5 and higher. With an older version, with other browsers (for example, Netscape, Opera, Mozilla) or when using a Macintosh, problems can occur during registration. We have found all other areas to be unaffected.
4. Why are contents not correctly displayed?
Our Internet pages are optimised for the PC running Internet Explorer Version 5.5 and higher. With an older version or with other browsers (for example, Netscape), problems with the display can occur.
If texts or graphics are not correctly displayed, it is generally sufficient to delete the storage. To do this, press the F5 key on your keyboard or delete the temporary Internet files using the "Internet Options command on the "Tools menu of your browser.
5. Which plug-ins are required?
To display certain content on our pages, you require appropriate plug-ins. A note on free downloading may be found at the relevant point.

On our Internet pages, we work with cookies, which are stored temporarily on your computers hard disk. Cookies are small files that store information. All modern browsers offer various possible settings in the case of cookies. In the Internet options, cookies can be deactivated, permitted without restriction or controlled. In controlled operating mode, a security message appears when a new cookie is being created.
