Schüco expertise in the planning and manufacture of building envelopes allows unusual solutions in solar products. Thermal collectors manufactured to specific sizes can be integrated with the building envelope as façade units or form part of the conservatory glazing. Photovoltaic modules using thin film technology with semi-transparent solar cells can be integrated with skylights as an eye-catching feature. Even spandrel panel railings can be equipped with bi-facial solar cells which can generate electricity on both sides of the panel whilst still being transparent.
