Guest Players 2011

Excellent Guest Players

Max Kieffer
The 21-year-old young professional and former club master at Hubbelerath was convincing on both days. In the match play, he proved to be a solid partner for Martin Kaymer, and in the singles he took advantage of his knowledge of the course and stole the show from Ian Poulter by a whisker. Shooting a round of 70, he finished second in a field of worldclass players and even impressed Martin Kaymer.

Nicolas Meitinger
In Düsseldorf, the 27-year-old Cologne resident showed why he is doing so well this year on the
Challenge Tour, where he won his first tournament in France. With a 71, he finished third. If he had had a little more luck on the greens, he would have done even better.

Bernd Ritthammer
In Hubbelrath, the 24-year-old Challenge Tour pro demonstrated that he has the potential to hold his own even against big names. He shot a 72, finishing seventh, in a tie with Torsten Giedeon and Edoardo Moilnari.

Sean Einhaus
The German, who is currently studying in the U.S., also showed that there is a “generation future” in German golf. After a solid round, he went to the clubhouse with a 73, sharing tenth place.
