Schüco Open
Henrik Stenson triumphs amid record crowds
In the end, even the weather played ball. As Henrik Stenson stood over his winning putt, the sun burst through the blanket of cloud, beaming as brightly as the Swede. None of the other Schüco brand ambassadors, the international guests or German national players could match Stenson over the 18 holes. He fired a 7-under-par 66 at the Gut Kaden Golf & Country Club to claim the 2012 Schüco Open title. The only threat came from Álvaro Quiros, but the Spaniard just missed a birdie putt on the final green and had to settle for a 67 (-6).
