Schüco aluminium system: Windows and non-ventilated façades with ProSol TF
As insulating glass and non-ventilated façades, the Schüco ProSol TF thin-film photovoltaic module takes on the central functions of the building envelope, combining energy generation with an attractive design. ProSol TF can be used with semi-transparent designs (level of transparency up to 20 %) in both window units and areas with a view to the outside; as opaque glazing it is ideal for spandrel units.

Schüco solar energy system:
MPE PV modules in the MS 96 series

The Schüco MPE PV modules in the MS 96 series with black anodised frames and dark Tedlar foil backing are distinguished by monocrystalline solar cells with cell efficiency levels up to 15 % that optimise the space available. This ensures that maximum outputs are achieved. Two cross struts on the reverse allow the PV modules to have an increased load-bearing capacity in wind and snow.

Office buildings: Citadele, Riga
The Latvian capital of Riga has an historic centre that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. One of its newest buildings, however, offers a surprising juxtaposition of striking cubism and colour. One of the city’s most famous sons, architect Meinhard von Gerkan, managed to convince the building authorities, with the agreement of UNESCO, to approve his modern design. The result is the most modern and multi-functional building in the entire Baltic. Citadele in Riga.
