Dear Reader,
soon 2011, a successful and special year, will draw to a close. Schüco has received a number of awards this year, from the iF product design award and the Architect's Darling, through to the ADAM award. However, the most significant accolade has been the German Marketing Prize, which was officially presented to Schüco during a celebratory gala event at the Berlin Museum for Communication. The tribute is the highest accolade awarded for marketing in Germany and with this win, Schüco joins the list of esteemed prize winners.
We also look forward to sharing many exciting moments with you in 2012, and invite you to be there at the 2012 Schüco Open at Gut Kaden in Hamburg on 28 and 29 July!

Celebration gala event for German Marketing-Prize 2011
Amid the party atmosphere of the Museum for Communication, Dirk U. Hindrichs, President and CEO of Schüco International KG, accepted the German Marketing Prize, thanking the jury headed by Karl Georg Musiol, President of the German Marketing Association.
The magnificent architecture of the Berlin Museum contributed to the unique atmosphere of the celebration gala. Within a few hours, the late 19th Century museum was transformed into an extraordinary event location. This year, for the first time, the awards ceremony was held as part of a gala event in Berlin attended by 250 prominent politicians, economists and business leaders.

2012 iF product design award for 2° system
The innovative 2° system from Schüco stood out from a fiercely competitive field of over 1600 participants from 48 countries and 4300 products. The pioneering, energy-efficient building envelopes from Schüco make an active contribution towards restricting global warming to 2° C. The protean quality of nature itself inspired the innovation. The system can adapt to changing climatic conditions, as well as to the different seasons and times of the day.

Schüco MSE 210 aero flat-roof mounting system
The MSE aero flat-roof mounting system is an aerodynamic flat-roof system for Schüco polycrystalline PV modules, measuring 1639 mm x 983 mm x 42 mm (L x B x T). Due to its light weight, it is ideal for large flat roofs (for example, industrial hall roofs) with low load reserves. The system is extremely versatile, and if there are obstacles on the roof, such as dormer windows, the rows can be "moved" one below the other to ensure efficient coverage of the entire area.

Siemens City, Vienna
The 55 metre high tower imbues Siemens City with an urban accent. The architectural form of the 12-storey building arises from an inviting, open gesture in the direction of the main entrance on Siemensstraße. An important conceptual idea is integration – offsetting the new buildings against the surrounding open spaces and also bringing employees from the different business divisions together in one single location.

The secret is out! The fourth Schüco Open will be held on 28 and 29 July 2012 at Gut Kaden in Hamburg. "Celebrating the Art of Golf" is the motto for this, the first Schüco tournament in northern Germany.
