Increased BAFA grants and subsidies for solar thermal energy as of August 2007
In order to further increase the use of renewable energy sources, the German government has raised grants and subsidies from the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) by 50% as of 2nd August 2007. Solar thermal systems for domestic hot water will receive 60 euros for every square meter of collector surface, and solar systems with auxiliary heating will receive 105 euros, at least 412.50 euros per system.
Now the increased grants and subsidies ensure that funds are limited
There is a total of 213 million euros available in BAFA grants and subsidies for 2007. Once all the budgetary funds have been utilised, there will be no more subsidies available. As of 2nd August, there is still 118 million euros available for 2007. Get your share of these increased subsidies. You can apply as soon as your solar energy system is in operation.
